FFXI PC to hit American Shores By Halloween

Square-Enix announced earlier that the PC version of their MMORPG will arrive in America before Halloween. Although the exact date isn't set, it is set for release sometime in October. They hope to broaden the online gaming audience for FFXI, which already has a suscriber base of 280,000 in Japan alone.

"We are thrilled to introduce Final Fantasy XI to North America and hope the game will expand online gaming to a broader audience," said Jun Iwasaki, president and CEO of Square Enix. "Final Fantasy XI will lure players into an action- and emotion-packed online gaming adventure in a personalized universe where they can create their own destiny."
